You know this feeling.
The morning starts before anyone else is awake. You’ve already answered three emails, mentally planned the day, and reminded yourself to pick up something for the school lunch. By 8am you’ve done what most people do by noon.
From the outside, you look like you have it together. And honestly? You kind of do. The career is moving. The kids are okay. The house is functioning. You’re showing up - really showing up - in more places than most people would even attempt.
And yet.
Somewhere around 9pm, after the bedtime routine and the last Slack message and the moment you finally sit down, something quietly asks: is this actually working? Or am I just really good at keeping all the plates spinning?
That’s the Performing season. Not failure. Not burnout. Not “you need to slow down.” Just the particular weight of being genuinely capable in a system that was never designed to hold everything you’re carrying.
There is more. But before you go further… Know your Season!
