You have a meeting in an hour. Your kid’s teacher emailed. There’s a version of the report you haven’t finished and a version of dinner you haven’t started and somewhere in the middle of all of that you had a genuinely good idea - the kind you used to have all the time - and you held it in your head for about four minutes before it disappeared under everything else.
This is not burnout. This is not a time management problem. This is the Integrating season, and it is exactly as full and complicated and alive as it feels.
The Integrating season is what happens when you are unambiguously both things at once. A professional who takes her work seriously. A mother who takes her children seriously. A woman who takes herself seriously. All three identities are real. All three have needs. And none of them is willing to be fully subordinated to the others.
That’s not a character flaw. That’s just a lot to hold.
There is more… But before you go further: know your Season.
